Fire Extinguisher Service Technician – Full Time

• Now Hiring in our Danville, IL location a Service Technician who will perform hydrotesting, and inspections of portable fire extinguishers at customer locations as well as on-site in our Danville location.This position will require an NFPA 10 Certification:  Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers, which we will provide paid training and pay for the exam.

Job Responsibilities

• • Management and scheduling of all preventive maintenance of portable fire extinguishers.
  • Performs inspections, service work, labels, tags, installations, recordkeeping, and Hydrostatic Testing with integrity.
  • Completes required computer entry or paperwork as required.
  • Maintains company issued equipment and tools, keeping them in good working order.
  • Safe driving of company provided vehicle to customer locations.
  • Managing and reporting inventory of parts and supplies.

Qualifications

• • Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent.
  • Responds to customer requests with a sense of urgency, treating customers as his/her highest priority.
  • Takes personal responsibility with customers, keeping commitments and following through on requests.
  • Driver’s license, with a good driving record.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, peers, management.
  • Work well independently, with little day-to-day supervision
  • Physically able to kneel, bend and stoop, climb, and can lift to 60 pounds.

   

  Required to pass preemployment background screen and preemployment drug screen and operate drug and alcohol free.
